ART4TENNIS - ABOUT THE ARTIST AND THE ARTWORK
Nath is a Canadian artist born and raised in France who specializes in Tennis Art.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Nath (pronounced "Nat"), a prolific professional artist since 2011, has successfully shown in exhibitions in public and private galleries. She has been featured in newspapers, TV and other media outlets and her work can be found in private collections.
Born in France, Nath's European sensibilities were refined as she was exposed to the world of art through countless visits to many public and private art galleries in Europe. It was through her exposure to museums throughout Paris, Lyon and the French Riviera amongst others that she formulated her own one of a kind style. Famous artists such as Miro, Cocteau, Matisse and Dali heavily influenced her. These artistic influences are brought to fruition in her easily distinguishable and highly stylized form of art. Nath now lives in the Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada. |

THE THEME BEHIND THE ARTWORK
"Vamos"

A TRIBUTE TO THE AMAZING CAREER OF RAFAEL NADAL, ROGER FEDERER AND SERENA WILLIAMS AND THEIR HIGH PROFILE OPPONENTS.
These three champions worked (and for Rafa Nadal still work) extremely hard to achieve unbelievable results and have entertained us, tennis fans, for a large part of our life and inspired the next generation of athletes.
This collection is ongoing as I am in the process of creating portraits of these three champions and the players who had to compete against them in at least a ¼ final since 2018, this until their retirement year. Tennis is a game which covers the spectrum of powerful emotions and it is these emotions that I capture in this series of portraits. Held to a limited run of 10 Original Artworks for each portrait (all in different colours), clients are guaranteed a truly unique and treasured Original work of fine art. The first pieces are the introduction piece for each player usually titled after their nicknames. For example, one of Rafael Nadal famous nicknames is "Rafa" thus the title "Humble Rafa". The subsequent pieces are portraits of the different facial expressions representing the players emotions during a match such as in "Vamos". |
WHY ART FOR TENNIS?
As a tennis player myself and ex tennis school owner, this sport has been firmly embedded in my soul my whole life.
After numerous years of working as an artist exploring and experimenting on my own various subjects and techniques, specializing in tennis art to celebrate tennis competition and relentless pursuit of excellence felt like a natural transition and a great outlet for my own interest . Note: To view previous work series, please visit: www.NathArtistCanada.com Tennis fans and professionals often describe the game as being"art on its own merit". I was compelled to capture these sentiments through the narrative of very fine artwork in order to preserve great moments in the sport of tennis. This is my true passion. I also endeavour to raise funds for ATP and WTA Players Charities by collaborating with the players. Please visit the Philanthropy- Partnership - Collaboration-Fundraiser page for more details. |
VERY HIGH QUALITY FINE ART PIECES
Each piece is carefully created with the utmost care to ensure exceptional quality. The use of high end acrylic paint, isolation layer for extra protection and UV/ Archival varnish make for an artwork that will last for generations to come.
Such high standards naturally involve a lot of time to create each piece so if you ask for a piece available on request only, you can expect at least a 3 weeks time frame to shipping.
Notes: - While trying to accurately display colours of the paintings on the website, they mostly depend on your monitor calibration and may therefore be perceived slightly differently.
- I respect photographers copyrights. I do not use any photographer's pictures for my portraits.
